The Ministry of International Business and Industry will host a media sensitization workshop on Barbados’ response to the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Initiative and its impact on the international business and financial services sector.

It will be held on Wednesday, November 28, in the ground floor conference room of Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The session will be facilitated by Director of International Business, Kevin Hunte, along with representatives from the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA), the Central Bank of Barbados and the insurance sector. Special Advisor to Government & the BIBA Task Force, Ben Arrindell, will also give a brief presentation.

Journalists, who are welcome to report on the session, will get the opportunity to have questions answered; benefit from sector specific information and explanations on technicalities; and learn of the anticipated impact the response should have on the island.

Media houses are invited to send a maximum of two representatives to the media sensitization workshop. Names of participants should be submitted via email to shamkoe.pile@barbados.gov.bb no later than noon on Monday, November 26.
