To mark United Nations’ International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development will hold its annual empowerment fair this coming Saturday, October 13.
The event will take place at the Briar Hall playing field, Christ Church, from noon until 6:00 p.m.
Over 30 ministries, agencies, departments and non-governmental organisations will be on hand to provide information to patrons in areas such as job-seeking, education, training, housing, welfare assistance, and health.
There will also be a children’s area, entertainment, competitions and various stalls. A variety of craft, plants, food and drink will be on sale.
All Barbadians are invited to attend the fair and bring their family and friends.
