The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will fog a number of neighbourhoods next week.
On Monday, December 10, fogging will take place in the St. Philip districts of Long Bay, Long Bay Development, Belair, Belair Cross Road, Crane, Crane Development and the environs.?? Then, on Tuesday, December 11, the team will visit Christ Church and spray Rendezvous Gardens, Amity Lodge, Fairway Gardens, Worthing Road, St. Lawrence Main Road, Bamboo Road, Craigg Road, Beckles Road, Brewsters Road, Graeme Hall, Harmony Hall, Top Rock and the surrounding areas.
The team will remain in that parish on Wednesday, December 12, and fog Golf Club Road, Dayrells Road, Worthing, Worthing View, Rockley Terrace, Rose Garden #1 & #2, Blue Water A & B, Rockley, Peronne Gap, Dover Gardens, Rockley New Road, Vetnor Gardens (with avenues) and other nearby areas.
The team’s attention will turn to the St. George neighbourhoods of Eastlyn, Buckley Terrace, Herman, Clarkes Road, Cane Hill, Connell Road, Lowe’s Road, Ruth King Road, Sargeant Road, Blenman Road, Mount Hill, Waverley Cot, Ellerton Housing Area, Ellerton Development, Niles Road and the surrounding areas on Thursday, December 13.
Fogging for the week will culminate in St. Michael on Friday, December 14, when the Unit will spray Ashdeane Village, Brighton Road, Farm Housing Area, Rosemont, Deacons Road, Knights Land, Goodland 1st and 2nd avenues, Birds River Gap, Corner Westbury Road and Brandons.????
Fogging will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day and pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.?? Parents are advised to prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.?? Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.?? Householders are urged to assist in the elimination of the aedes aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to circulate.??
