Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations.

Government is offering residents who are currently unemployed, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, another training opportunity.

This comes as the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations joins forces with the Commonwealth of Learning to implement the Coursera Workforce Recovery Programme.

The initiative, which the Commonwealth of Learning has secured with Coursera, will offer 1,500 unemployed persons the chance to enrol in various training courses of their choice.

Coursera’s website will provide participants access to over 4,000 courses and 400 specialisations offered through 200 recognised and accredited international institutions.

The courses are free to selected participants, and must be completed during the period August 31 to December 31, 2020.  Certificates will be awarded upon completion of all courses.

Interested persons must register through the Ministry of Labour’s website, for consideration by Coursera.  The deadline for registration is Thursday, August 20.
