Barbadians who wish to pursue studies abroad in higher, vocational or professional education have the opportunity to do so at a Moroccan institution via a number of scholarships.

The Government of the Kingdom of Morocco is inviting citizens of Barbados, who are in good health, to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies for the academic year commencing September 2013, in that country.

Applicants with an interest in pursuing undergraduate studies must be between the ages of 19 and 23 years while those interested in undertaking a Master???s degree must hold a Bachelor degree with at least Lower 2nd class honours.

Prospective students keen on pursuing a Doctoral (PhD) degree must hold a Master???s degree.

Successful applicants must be fluent in French to undertake their course of study.

Applicants for these scholarships are required to submit a fully completed application form, accompanied by two copies of the following documents: a certified copy of the certificate of matriculation; a certified copy of the transcript from their previous institution; a Birth certificate, a photocopy of their passport; a recent passport sized photograph in color, along with the applicant???s name and nationality.

Candidates for the Master’s and PhD must provide, in addition to the above documents, copies of degrees of higher education, certified copies of transcripts, and a copy of their dissertation/thesis.

A recent medical certificate attesting to the fitness of the candidate must also be submitted with the application.

Application forms are available from the Tertiary Section of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

The deadline for applications to be sent to the Ministry is Friday August 2, 2013.
