The Public is asked to note that Mortuary Road will be closed from midnight Friday, November 15 to midnight Sunday, November 17.
Postmaster General Acting, at the Barbados Postal Service, Mrs Iris Lashley, explained that this closure is to facilitate upcoming construction work to be carried out at the General Post Office building on Cheapside, on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17. During this time heavy equipment will be in use.
The public is also asked to note that during the construction period, Cheapside Road will be one-way traffic into the city, while the outbound lane will be closed to through traffic at the Cheapside market; however, pedestrian traffic will be allowed.
The Postmaster General apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
