Advancing Parliamentary Leadership in Community Dialogues on HIV Prevention, Stigma and Discrimination – an initiative from the office of the Speaker, will take place in the Parliament Yard, Bridgetown, on Saturday, November 10, beginning at 9:00 and concluding at 4:00 p.m.

It will be staged under the patronage of His Honour, The Speaker, Michael Carrington and other Members of Parliament. The initiative will take the form of a health fair that will include short speeches, dramatisations, discussions, and interventions by individuals and groups, along with free health checks: blood pressure, cholesterol, HIV, prostate and blood sugar testing as well as branding and sampling of products. Patrons will also have the chance to win a number of attractive prizes.

In an effort to reach members of various districts, a motorcade will be at noon. It will see the distribution of HIV promotional and educational items and will traverse the following St. Michael locations: Heroes Square, Fairchild Street, Constitution Road, Halls Road, Roebuck Street, Country Road, Passage Road, Barbarees Hill, President Kennedy Drive, Westbury Road, Goodland, Ferniehurst, Deacons Road, Black Rock,?? Spring Garden, University Hill, Cave Hill Main Road, Lodge Hill, Green Hill,?? Stadium Road, Bank Hall, Bank Hall Main Road, Bridge Road,?? Welches, My Lords Hill, Government Hill, Haggatt Hall, ABC Highway to the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic, Wildey,?? Collymore Rock, Culloden Road, Beckles Road, and Bay Street.
