Barbadians will have an opportunity to get a glimpse of the early history of Barbados when the Museum and Historical Society hosts a prehistoric exhibition, beginning next week.

It will be held from Monday, November 9, to Friday, January 15, 2010, Mondays to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from, 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Museum’s headquarters, St. Ann’s Garrison, St. Michael.

According to Museum officials, the exhibition "will be a journey to a time when the island may have been populated by its earliest inhabitants around 2000 BC and then around 250 AD."

In addition, it will "showcase various artefacts excavated around the island and interpret what they tell us about the island’s prehistory."
