The Barbados Community College. (FP)

Persons interested in learning more about Mutual Funds and the economic framework in which the industry operates, are invited to sign up for the Barbados Community College’s (BCC) Certificate in Mutual Funds.

The programme, which starts Wednesday, April 3, was launched in April 1999 as a direct response to an interest expressed by the Ministry of Finance and the Security Exchange of Barbados (Barbados Stock Exchange).

It targets Entry Level Analysts; Traders and Brokers; Institutional Salespersons; Portfolio Managers; Asset Managers; Fund Administrators; as well as potential investors.??

Course participants will also learn about the role of the Portfolio Manager; the Administration of the Mutual Funds; pensions and retirement; taxation – tax benefits to be gained by investment in mutual funds; the Mutual Fund Act and competitive financial products.
