The National Assistance Board is inviting the public to a Health Fest this Thursday, September 30, at its Murrell House, Country Road, St. Michael headquarters, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

To highlight the importance of healthy living, personnel will be on hand to conduct checks for blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol, while students of the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic will perform manicures, pedicures and facials.

From 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.,Nurse, Shawn Monteith, will give a lecture entitled "Prostate Cancer – It’s Implications and Preventions". This will be followed by a lecture on "Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder", from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., which will be delivered by Counsellor, Al Layne.

From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., attendees are invited to join in the exercise session, which will be hosted by a fitness trainer from the Surfside Wellness Centre.

In addition, there will be a number of health products on display and information on healthy living will be accessible to all. sharifa.medford@barbados.gov.bb
