The National Assistance Board (NAB) is actively investigating the case of the homeless woman, Angela Grant, featured in the Daily Nation on Monday, February 4.

Social workers from the agency immediately began investigating the case after it was highlighted in the newspaper and visited Ms. Grant at the Accident and Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH)  today.

The 64-year-old, who suffers with diabetes and poor circulation, was taken to the hospital last Sunday, February 3.

The NAB has stated that it would work closely with the Social Services Department at the QEH and other social service agencies to bring the matter to resolution.
