The 35 people who work  in the administrative division of the National Assistance Board (NAB) at Country Road, St. Michael, the members of their households and persons identified as close contacts have all been placed in quarantine by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, effective April 23.

This is in response to the five positive cases of COVID-19 among the administrative staff stationed at the NAB’s headquarters. All five persons are now in isolation.

The other staff members, their families and contacts will spend the remainder of the quarantine period which will last for 14 days at local hotels where they are expected to be transferred, beginning tomorrow.

Meanwhile, 117 NAB employees were tested yesterday and they were all negative for COVID-19. The remainder of staff members will be tested today and tomorrow.
