The Animal Control Centre of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will observe National Animal Week 2018 next week with a number of outreach community activities, under the theme Pet Safety During Disasters.

On Monday, October 1, and Tuesday, October 2, officers from the Centre will be at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., engaging the public on the importance of ensuring that they make planning for their pets an integral part of their overall disaster response plan.

The education campaign will continue on Thursday, October 4 at Carlton and A1 Supermarket, Black Rock, St. Michael, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; and at those same times on Friday, October 5, at Massy Supermarket, Holetown, St. James.

On Saturday, October 6, the team will meet the public at Carter’s, Wildey, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and on Sunday, October 7, they will be at the Barbados Kennel Club, Waterford, St. Michael, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
