For the past three decades, the National Assistance Board (NAB), under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment, Urban and Rural Development, has endeavoured "to maintain the dignity of elderly persons in Barbados, through the provision of an innovative range of social support and recreational services."

The NAB has successfully reached its 30-year milestone, and in honour of this achievement, a number of activities have been planned for the next six months.

Following the church service which took place at the Abundant Life Assembly last month, a senior’s cruise will be the second event on the NAB’s calendar of activities. The cruise, for adults 50 years and over, will take place next Tuesday, September 21, on board the M.V. Harbour Master, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the NAB’s office, Murrell House, Country Road, St. Michael. sharifa.medford@barbados.gov.bb
