The National Conservation Commission (NCC) will host a Fitness Friday event, tomorrow, Friday, May 20, for its staff at Brownes Beach, Bay Street, St. Michael, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

This forms part of its quest to continue raising awareness about the importance of health and wellbeing through preventative care measures for staff.

During the day, NCC staff will engage in a range of activities, including cricket, paddle ball, volleyball, Zumba, blood pressure and blood sugar testing and sunset karaoke.

In addition, the Barbados Lifeguard Service will stage a rescue simulation from noon to 12:30 p.m., and will be present to educate staff on being water wise in and around the aquatic environment.

To facilitate this activity, Browne’s Beach car park will be closed on Friday, and reopened on Saturday, May 21. Any inconvenience this closure may cause is regretted.
