Government’s Summer Camp programme is free again this year.????

Government’s Summer Camp programme will begin next Monday, July 5, at schools, recreational centres and churches across the island.

The camps are free again this year and will run until Friday, August 13, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

In St. Michael, camps will be held at Bay Primary, Belmont, Eagle Hall, Lawrence T. Gay, Luther Thorne Memorial, Grazettes, Hindsbury, St. Ambrose, St. Matthew’s, St. Paul’s, Westbury and the Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary schools.?? Wesley Hall Infants, the Mapp Hill and Meadow Road’s Pavilion, the Parkinson Community Centre, Chapel Gap Nazarene Church and the St. Leonard’s Boys Secondary School will also host camps in that parish.

In St. George, camps will be held at Cuthbert Moore, Ellerton, South District, and St. Jude’s Primary, while St. Lucy Primary, Ignatius Byer and the Half Moon Fort Primary schools will be the sites for the St. Lucy camps.?? Children in St. Peter will be able to participate at the Bethany Baptist Church, while those from St. James can attend

Gordon Greenidge Primary, St. Alban’s, St. Silas, and West Terrace Primary Schools, the Haynesville Police Outpost, the Desmond Haynes Sports Complex and the Melbourne Cricket Club.

The St. Andrew camps will be staged at the St. Andrew Primary school, Miracle Vale Rose of Sharon Church, Bethel New Covenant and Rose of Sharon churches in St. Andrew, while St. Bernard’s and St. Joseph Primary will be the venues in St. Joseph.?? Students residing in St. Thomas and St. John may attend camp at the Welches Primary, St. John’s Primary and Colleton Community Centre, respectively.

In the parish of St. Philip, parents may choose from Bayley’s, St. Catherine’s, St. Mark’s, Reynold Weekes, St. Martins/Mangrove and the St. Philip Primary School or Princess Margaret Secondary School.??

Christ Church camps will be held at Arthur Smith Primary, Christ Church Girls, Milton Lynch, St. Christopher’s, St. David’s, St. Lawrence and Vauxhall Primary Schools, Foundation School, the Inch Marlow Community Centre and the Parish Land Pavilion.

Parents are reminded that children should not be left unattended before, or after scheduled camp hours.

Forms should have by now been returned to the Ministry of Youth, Constitution Road, St. Michael and parents will be notified of placement over the weekend by camp directors. lbayley@barbados.gov.bb
