The National Summer Camp Programme has been placed on hold for 2018 and a full assessment of the camps is currently being conducted.

This announcement came today from the Ministry of Youth and Community Empowerment under whose purview the programme falls, and follows a Cabinet decision to have the programme reviewed.

The Ministry is encouraging families to register their children/wards at one of the many and varied camps being offered across the island, that cater to a range of needs and interests.

Government has pledged to make public schools available and to provide technical assistance to organisations that are willing to facilitate camps.

The Ministry of Youth and Community Empowerment regrets any inconvenience caused by this decision and is working assiduously to complete the review process.
