Minister of Youth, Family and Sports, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo????

The judges have made their selections and officials in the Ministry of Youth are applying the finishing touches for the annual National Youth Awards scheduled for this weekend.

Several outstanding young Barbadians who have excelled in their various fields and given selflessly to their communities and their country will be rewarded next Sunday, November 15, during a 4:30 p.m. ceremony at Hilton Barbados.

"Celebrating Our Differences" is the theme of the presentation, which will include dance, drama and music. Minister of Youth, Family and Sports, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo, will deliver the feature address.????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The Phoenix (Minister’s) Award, the Conrad Hunte (sports) Award, the Ficus (community and group service) Award, the Hope (group) Award, the Bambusa (business) Award and the Banyan (youth champion for HIV) Award will be presented during the ceremony, along with several special awards.

The National Youth Awards ceremony was started in 2005 and seeks to highlight and celebrate the effort, talent and commitment of young Barbadians.
