The National Conservation Commission (NCC) is seeking the public’s assistance in determining the extent of damage caused to trees during the passage of Tropical Storm Tomas.

According to the Commission’s Special Projects Officer, Ricardo Marshall, the information is critical to facilitate planning for replacement.

The NCC, by virtue of its mandate, and through the efforts of its Field Services Department, National Arbor Day and Reforestation programmes, has been one of the main advocates for the maintenance and planting of trees island wide," the NCC official stated.
