In an effort to reach a wider audience, the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA), has ‘logged on’ to additional social media platforms.

Persons may now follow the NCSA on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, in addition to its existing Facebook page, by typing in “NCSA Barbados”, or visiting its website.

Programme Officer at the NCSA, Makeada Bourne, explained that the NCSA added its Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts over the Christmas period, and was already actively posting.

She explained that members of the public would be able to access information relating to past research conducted by the department and published reports, along with services offered. These, she noted, would primarily be found on the department’s website and Facebook accounts.

Meanwhile, she noted that the new Instagram, YouTube and Twitter accounts contained updates, pictures and video clips of activities held, while Facebook would also feature daily inspirational quotes posted by NCSA staff.

“We want the public to log on and keep in tune. Continue to follow us on all our channels and give us your feedback,” the Programme Officer urged.
