The United States Embassy will hand over a range of science DVD’s to the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) to assist them in popularising science and technology in all spheres of endeavour.
The event will take place tomorrow, Friday, June 18, at the NCST’s, Reef Road, Fontabelle, St. Michael, headquarters, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Deputy Public Affairs Officer, Dr. Joseph Schaller, will present the Science Screen Report Volumes 29-33 and 36-38, which covers topic such as: Medicine in the 21st Century; Conservation: Mission Manatee; Geology: Scientists Probe Earthquakes and The Spine.
Volume 33, entitled Shoreline Habits, will feature a report on the world’s Shoreline Habits; while volumes 33, 36 and 38 will highlight:?? Earth: Home Planet, Red Planet: Mars & Quest Search for Life; Predicting Earth’s Weather Plasma: Unlimited Energy Source and Glass: A Window on the Future, Gas Turbines: Energy Powerhouses, respectively.
