Classes at the Garrison Secondary School at Paddock Road, St. Michael, have resumed.
This was disclosed today by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Bruce Alleyne.
Mr. Alleyne said that the Ministry of Housing and Lands, Urban and Rural Development had taken corrective action over the weekend, to ensure the roof on a nearby property, which was not associated with the school, was covered.
"It is expected that this action will allay fears relating to the presence of asbestos on that roof," he added.
