The Winston Scott Polyclinic has benefited yet again from a donation of medical equipment from a private sector company.

The polyclinic, located at Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael, serves one of the largest catchment areas in the island.

Brian Robinson of Sandstorm Gold Bank Limited handed over the wall-mounted otoscope and opthalmoscope to Chief Public Health Nurse Anne Murrell last Thursday.

Mr. Robinson said that the Canadian-owned company, located at Limegrove, St. James, had a100 per cent Barbadian staff complement.

He said the organisation was very conscious of its responsibility to give back to the community in which it was based and was therefore delighted to respond to the need for the diagnostic tool at the polyclinic.??

The equipment donated is used to test the eyes, ears and throat.??Nurse Murrell expressed thanks on behalf of the Ministry of Health, noting that such donations helped the public health care system to offer the highest quality of care to its patients.
