Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and International Business, Hughland Allman, met today with Andreas Kusay and presented him with an Exequatur officially recognising him as the duly appointed Honorary Consul of Germany in Barbados.
Mr. Allman welcomed Mr. Kusay to the Honorary Consular Corps in Barbados and pledged the cooperation of the Ministry in assisting him in this important assignment. He also stressed the need to build a stronger relationship with Germany.
In response, Mr. Kusay said that he was looking forward to his assignment and to making his contribution to the further strengthening of relations between Germany and Barbados.
Barbados and Germany established diplomatic ties on March 14, 1967.
