Experts from the public and private sectors will participate in a National Consultation on the Formulation of a National Intellectual Property Strategy for Barbados, tomorrow, Thursday, November 20, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and International Business, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. The opening ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m. in the Marigold room.

The consulting team of Dr. Wendy Hollingsworth, Erica Smith and Nicole Clarke, will co-host the session, while Registrar, Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property, Heather Clarke, will give the opening remarks. Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and International Business, Donville Inniss, will deliver the feature address.

The consultation highlights are a synopsis of intellectual property strategy and key recommendations intensive working group sessions and impactful presentations.

With the theme Harvesting Wealth from Intangible Assets, the meeting is designed to stimulate public awareness of the various aspects of intellectual property and show how such valuable assets can be developed and managed efficiently to enhance the social and economic advancement of Barbados.
