The Barbados Postal Service will open a new post office at Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St. Michael, from Monday, June 2.
The new facility will offer the complete range of postal services including the sale of stamps, registered mail, an express mail service, the payment of utility bills and the rental of P.O. Boxes.
It will be located on the ground floor of the building and personnel may be reached at 622-1630 or 622-1631. The post office will open between of 8:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Mondays, and from 8:00 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.
Deputy Postmaster-General for Operations, Nigel Cobham, explained that they wanted to establish a presence in Warrens, St. Michael as a post office was lacking in the area for some time.
Noting that they would be drawing on existing staff to outfit the new office, Mr. Cobham explained that mail taken to the new Warrens, St. Michael office would be collected and taken to the General Post Office for distribution.
