A number of changes in the way business is done at Magistrates’ Courts across the island will be in effect from tomorrow, Monday, May 4.

Those changes will see adjournments in person being done first, and a limited number of persons being allowed in court rooms at a time.

That number will include two lawyers (one for the litigant and one for the accused), a probation officer, a prison warden and three media reporters.

Persons will not be allowed to wait in the courtroom for another matter to commence, and only one person will be at the counters at any time. Persons are therefore asked to make note of these changes and comply.
