Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner, today received a courtesy call from New Zealand’s High Commissioner Kathleen Lackey.

The two officials discussed the current global economic recession and plans being put in place by their respective countries to deal with its likely effects. They also looked at a proposed double taxation treaty, and the upcoming meetings of the Caribbean Community and the Commonwealth Heads of Government.

The New Zealand envoy is based in Canada.
