Securing the Industry is the title of the next BAJCAN Connect forum to be hosted on Friday, April 23, by the Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Authority (BMCLA).

The event, which takes place virtually, will provide a forum for persons involved in the security sector or with a security background/business to learn more about participating in the medicinal cannabis industry; share information and begin to network.

It starts at 10:00 a.m. and interested persons can visit www.bmcla.bb; click on Invest; click on BAJCAN Connect and click the poster to register to attend.

At the end of the sessions, it is hoped that security professionals or security businesses would be energised about how they can play an impactful role in securing this new industry.

“The Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Industry allows for eight licences, all of which will need access to some type, if not total security solutions, so there are numerous opportunties available for entrepreneurship growth and job creation,” said the BMCLA, of the importance of the event.

Sessions will be facilitated by Barbadian and former police officer/detective with the NYPD, David Watson, and a trusted advisor to the global cannabis industry with several years of hands-on experience, David Hyde.
