The National Housing Corporation (NHC) will be embarking on a series of productivity seminars during the months of May and June.
The seminars, which are designed to give staff an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of productivity and its impact, also aim to facilitate a unified, organisational understanding of productivity, and to collaboratively procure tools to increase individual and team productivity.
The first seminar begins on Wednesday, May 17, and will be held in the Training Room at the Productivity Council, 3rd Floor, Baobab Towers, Warrens, St. Michael, at 8:30 a.m. The theme is: Productivity Best Practices.
The National Housing Corporation is seeking to move in a more strategic direction that involves encouraging greater productivity and will therefore seek to ensure that all staff members have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of productivity and its impact.
The objectives of the seminars will include helping staff to define and understand productivity; examine the importance of measuring productivity; understand the impact of work behaviours on productivity, including presenteeism and absenteeism; recognise principles of providing quality service and adopt effective communication techniques.
