The state-owned National Housing Corporation (NHC) will be celebrating its 38th anniversary over the next ??two months, with several planned activities to highlight its work over the years.

Celebrations will begin with a Service at the Church of God, Chapman Road, St. Michael, this Sunday, April 3, at 8:00 a.m. Minister of Housing and Lands, Michael Lashley, will address congregants and the public is invited to attend.

On Saturday, April 9, there will be a Staff Concert and Karaoke Competition "Under the Sandbox Tree" at NHC headquarters, Country Road, St. Michael, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The following month there will be cricket and football matches on Friday, May 6, at Dover Playing Field, Christ Church, from 2:30 p.m.

Activities will culminate on Saturday, May 21, with a hike, starting at 6:00 p.m. from Cove Bay, St. Lucy.

The Corporation was established on April 1, 1973, with a mandate to provide affordable and quality housing and land for Barbadians.
