The NHC is currently making every effort to develop an infill housing programme, and already, there is a proposal to begin with four two-storey housing units at Sayes Court in Christ Church.
Word of this has come from General Manager of the NHC, Vincent Alleyne, who, in a recent interview explained the infill housing concept.
“Where there is available land, in existing estates, the NHC is looking at the construction of additional housing within these spaces,” the NHC General Manager explained.
Mr. Alleyne further disclosed that the Corporation has already received permission from the Town and Country Planning Department to build the units in Sayes Court. He added that the NHC is presently scouting other estates throughout Barbados, suitable for the development of infill housing.
