Some Barbadians will have the opportunity to impress the judges with their creativity in the cultural and culinary arts, during the upcoming National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA), slated for November.

Applications forms in all disciplines are now available, and can be collected from the National Cultural Foundation’s (NCF) West Terrace, St. James, Headquarters.

The deadline for the receipt of entries in the literary arts (Adult Prose) category, is Friday, September 4.

However, for those persons who are desirous of submitting entries in areas such as drama, music, visual arts, photography and literary arts (Juniors), the deadline is Friday, August 28. Completed applications for Culinary Arts must be returned by Friday, October 9.

The annual festival, one of the most exciting events on the island’s social calendar, offers participants the opportunity to express themselves in the disciplines of dance, drama, photography, video and the literary arts.

Interested persons may contact the NCF at 424-0909 to request digital copies of forms, which can be sent via email.
