Residents of St. Lucy will soon get the opportunity to learn about the importance and purpose of the National Insurance Scheme.

This comes as the Constituency Council stages a series of lectures entitled NIS and Me at different venues across the constituency.

The lectures will commence on Saturday, April 30, at the St. Swithin’s Anglican Church, Greenidges. They will continue on Sunday, May 15, at the Durhams Pentecostal Church, Durhams, while on Sunday, May 29, the Church of God at Avis Town will be the venue of the third lecture. On Saturday, June 11, the lecture will take place at the Crab Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church, Crab Hill and the series will culminate at the St. Clements Anglican Church, on Saturday, June 18.

All lectures will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be conducted by Stephen Strickland of the National Insurance Department.
