There are no more places available in the disciplines of swimming and tennis in this year’s National Sports Council’s Summer Camp.

An official of the Council has revealed that all the spaces have been filled and has urged parents to sign up for the other sports which include cheerleading, squash, hockey, badminton, chess, bodybuilding, basketball, cricket, golf, football, boxing and cycling.

The spokesperson added that parents and guardians could also register their children for the three new sports which were introduced this year – body fitness, taekwondo and handball.

Parents and guardians should register children between the ages of eight and 16 at the Council’s Blenheim, My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael headquarters, Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 23 and 30, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

A fee of $120 for locals and $240 for non-nationals will be charged for the camp, which will run from Monday, July 2, to Friday, August 10, at several locations across the island. Several tours are being planned for the campers, including to the Garrison historic area and the Cricket Legends Museum.

To obtain further information on the camp, the public should call 430-7731, 430-7734 or 430-7735.
