The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation has advised that Summer School Secondary is currently under review and, as a result, will not be held this year.
The Ministry regrets the inconvenience that this may cause to parents and guardians.
Summer School Secondary usually targets first to third form students who have exhibited weaknesses in core subjects like Mathematics, English, Social Studies and Integrated Science.
They must have been selected by their respective schools to attend.
A major aim of the programme is to reduce deficits and enhance students??? performance, by paying attention to the students in a holistic manner.??It also seeks to build their life skills, correct weaknesses in aptitude and attitude, and address psychological issues that may be the underlying reasons for the students??? weak performance in school.
