The public is reminded that no tickets will be required to enter Kensington Oval to witness this year’s Independence Ceremonial Parade.
Patrons attending the parade and march will be allowed entry from 6:00 a.m. through the West gate, which is located next to the Garfield Sobers Statue. The parade is expected to get under way from 7:20 a.m.
Free park and ride sites for persons attending the event are: The Garrison Savannah, St. Michael; the National Cultural Foundation, West Terrace, St. James; Queen’s College, Husbands, St. James; Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael; and the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.
Shuttles will be available from 5:30 to 8:00 a.m. and up to one-and-a-half hours after the event.
