Fighting Crime Using Research is the theme of this year’s Crime Awareness Month, which will be observed from November 1 to 30.

And, the Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit has organised a number of activities for its stakeholders and the public during the month.

On Wednesday, November 10, there will be a Stakeholder Webinar on Research Evidence: A Key Crime Fighting Tool.

There will be a public webinar on Thursday, November 25, under the theme: Release of Findings – An Examination of Gun Related Homicides in Barbados during 2018 and 2020.

Crime Awareness is observed annually to build an awareness of criminal justice agencies; highlight the contribution of criminal justice agencies in the fight against crime; highlight and emphasise the impact of their work on the development of Barbados; and discuss possible solutions to crime and violence in the island.
