Eden Lodge Nursery School will continue last term’s theme, I Am Bajan, during African Awareness Month.

With the focus on Festivals and Music of Barbados, tiny tots from the school along with teachers, parents and guardians will be given the opportunity to experience one of Barbados’ major festivals – Holetown Festival – this Friday, February 15.

The tour, which starts at 9:30 a.m., will allow them to develop an awareness of Barbadian history and culture as well as gain an appreciation for some of the local food, art and craft.

Other plans to help interest pupils in Things Bajan include a visit to the Eden Lodge Soroptimist Village this Thursday, February 14, at 10:00 a.m. and a dance performance at the Holetown Festival on Saturday, February 16, at 11:00 a.m.

The school’s activities will culminate with an African Awareness Day on Friday, March 1.
