Suitably qualified Barbadians still have time to apply for the Organization of American States (OAS) scholarships to pursue undergraduate and post graduate studies. The scholarships are tenable at universities in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean for the academic year 2012-2013.

Eligible candidates must be citizens of Barbados and must possess the relevant educational and professional experience for placement in a programme of study.

Additionally, the applicants may be required to write admission tests such as GMAT and GRE, as stipulated by the academic institution which they wish to attend, and provide the supporting evidence of satisfactory scores with their application.

Completed applications must be submitted to Bertram Johnson, Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, no later than Thursday, March 31, 2011.

Further information may be obtained by contacting Mr. Johnson at 310-1313 or via the OAS website at http://www.eduoas.org/.
