Suitably qualified Barbadians are being invited to apply for the Organization of American States (OAS) professional development scholarships. The course, Promoting Innovation: Licensing Academy in Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization is for a short term and will run from June 4 to June 13.

Eligible candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of Barbados and have a degree in law, international affairs, engineering, life sciences or economics.

Additionally, applicants must have two years professional experience and have worked in the public/private sectors; have taught tech transfer at an academic level; possess knowledge about intellectual property, agriculture, life sciences, international trade and innovation.

Applications must also include a Statement of Study and Development Objectives form outlining why candidates should be considered for the programme and for the full or partial scholarship.??

Completed applications must be submitted to the Division of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, 3rd Floor, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, by Friday, April 27.
