Suitably qualified Barbadians are invited to apply for the Organization of American States (OAS) short-term professional development scholarships in Disaster Communications Management.

The course will be conducted in Washington D.C in the United States of America, from October 29 to November 2.

Eligible candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of an OAS member state, with three years working experience in a disaster relief environment.?? At the professional level, applicants must be engineers, currently working in a managerial position at all levels, or have experience in policy making.

Candidates who were awarded an OAS professional development scholarship in the last 12 months, or currently hold an OAS scholarship for academic studies, are not eligible to apply.

Completed applications must be submitted to the Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Finance, 3rd Floor East, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, no later than Friday, August 31.
