Suitably qualified Barbadians are being invited to apply for an Organization of American States (OAS) short-term professional scholarship to pursue a Mini Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Telecommunications.

The Mini MBA will be taught on site in Montreal, Canada, from July 9 to July 20.

Eligible candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of an OAS member state and have a bachelor’s degree in administration, commerce, economics, engineering, law or science.

Additionally, the applicants must have five years of telecom experience as a telecom operator or regulator in a managerial position and should have worked in the areas of marketing, sales, finance, engineering, regulatory affairs, human resources or operations.

Along with the completed applications, the candidates must also submit an up-to-date curriculum vitae inclusive of their personal information, academic background, work experience and references.

In addition, candidates who were awarded an OAS professional development scholarship in the last 12 months, or are currently holders of an OAS scholarship for academic studies, are not eligible to apply.

Completed applications must be submitted to the Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Finance, 3rd Floor East, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, no later than Friday, May 25.
