Suitably qualified Barbadians are being invited to apply for the Organization of American States (OAS) professional development scholarships to pursue a short-term Professional Development Course in Trade and Environment from May 29 to June 2, in Washington.

Eligible candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of Barbados, have a university degree in environmental science, law, business, economics or administration, international relations or in related fields. Applicants must also submit updated curriculum vitae with their applications.

Additionally, the candidates must also submit a Statement of Purpose document that outlined the integration of trade or environment in their respective jobs and how the new knowledge acquired would enhance their performance.

Those persons, who received an OAS Professional Scholarship during the past 12 months or are currently a recipient of a Scholarship for academic studies, are not eligible to apply.

Completed applications must be submitted to the Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Finance, 3rd Floor East, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, no later than Thursday, April 5.
