Suitably qualified Barbadians are being invited to apply for an Organization of American States (OAS) scholarship to pursue a short-term professional development course entitled: XL Course on International Law. It will be held from August 5 to 23, in Rio De Janiero, Brazil.

Eligible candidates must be under 40 years old, citizens or permanent residents of Barbados, have a professional designation or a university degree in law or international relations, along with the requisite experience.?? Applicants must also submit copies of their degree, certification in the subjects studied and the grades obtained in each.

Additionally, applicants must have an excellent command of Spanish and English and must be proposed by a government agency, an institution of higher education or a public or private institution that is directly involved with international law and international relations.

Those persons who received an OAS professional development scholarship in previous years, are ineligible to apply.

Completed applications must be forwarded to the Division of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance 3rd Floor East, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, no later than Thursday, March 28.
