Suitably qualified Barbadians are invited to apply for the Organization of American States’ (OAS) International Institute of Social Studies Scholarships at the Erasmus University, University of Rotterdam.

The programmes will be delivered onsite at the University’s ISS campus in The Hague, Netherlands.

The scholarships are for master’s programmes in the following areas: Agrarian and Environmental Studies; Economics of Development; Governance; Policy and Political Economy; Human Rights, Gender and Conflict Studies: Social Justice Perspectives; and Social Policy for Development.??

Candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of an OAS member country, possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification and should be competent in basic computer skills and using the internet.?? Applicants must also have work experience in a related field.

Additionally, candidates must also have a good command of the English Language, and for non-English speaking applicants, they must submit to one of the following tests to verify their level of English proficiency.

This includes an official transcript verifying completion of studies in an English-speaking university in the last five years, or a test of English as a Foreign Language, (TOEFL) with a score of 580 or higher for the paper-based test; achieve 237 for the computer-based test, or 92 for the internet-based test.
