The Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Commerce has implemented a number of measures to manage all interactions with the general public in relation to the Office of the Public Counsel and the Office of the Supervisor of Insolvency, with effect from Tuesday, March 24.
The measures are in keeping with the provisions put in place by the Ministry of Health and Wellness for the management of Stage 2 of the COVID-19 pandemic and the two departments are committed to the continued provision of services to the public in a manner which ensures the safety of their clients as well as their own staff.
According to the Ministry, all face-to-face interactions are restricted. Therefore, persons who wish to follow up on the status of their complaint or to make a consumer complaint to the Office of the Public Counsel should telephone 535-2757, 535-2758 or 535-2759.
Written complaints and accompanying documents, where necessary, may be deposited in the drop box provided in the lobby of the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.
Persons who are in need of consumer complaint forms are asked to contact Investigations Officer, Paul Leach, at email address firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to facilitate transmission of the complaint form via email.
Additionally, persons with queries regarding the bankruptcy and insolvency process should contact the Office of the Supervisor of Insolvency at 535-2752, 535-2753 or 826-1414.
All requests for Certificates of Standing/Solvency may be submitted to the Office of the Supervisor of Insolvency via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Payment for these certificates may be made in cash or by cheque and should be deposited in the drop-box provided in the lobby of the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.
All documents or correspondence placed in the drop box should be in a sealed envelope and be addressed to the relevant Department.
