Students, who will be moving to fifth form in the next school year (2012-2013), are being targeted for the annual summer school of the University of the West Indies’ (UWI) Open Campus.

The sessions will be held at the UWI, Cave Hill Campus, from Monday, July 9, to Friday, August 10. They will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.

The summer school is designed to provide students with academic tuition in selected subject areas; guidance in the transition from fourth form to the fifth form class environment as well as prepare them for the sitting of the Caribbean Examination Council’s exams.

Among the subjects on offer to students are English Language, Information Technology, Spanish, French, Mathematics, History, Chemistry, Physics, Biology,

Human and Social Biology, Geography, Principles of Accounts and Principles of Business.

However, according to the Campus, the offering of any one course is subject to the registration of an adequate number of students. The deadline for registration is Friday, June 29.
