The Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS) is asking suitably qualified persons to submit résumés online for consideration for fish processor and fish monger’s positions, in a busy fish and seafood manufacturing environment in the United Kingdom (UK).

Persons aged 18 to 26 will be required to prepare, fillet, and process fish and seafood products, as well as monitor and confirm the quality of the products. Interested persons will be required to work in cold climate conditions.

They must possess three years’ experience in a similar environment and the ability to work as a team, communicating and cooperating effectively with all team members.

Workers must have the ability to cover their passage to the UK. They must also have a valid Barbados passport and the ability to obtain a clean Certificate of Character. Prospective candidates must also be free of any infractions outside the jurisdiction of Barbados.

Résumés should be sent to pjordan@labour.gov.bb, or pfarnum@labour.gov.bb by January 22, 2021.

Queries may be made by calling 832-0480 or 832-0532. Persons are reminded that they should not visit the BECCS’ office at the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, given the COVID-19 environment.
