Over the next three weeks, Barbadians will have an opportunity to contribute to the discussions on the reform of the National Insurance Fund and are encouraged to take advantage of the avenues available to share their views on the social security system.

Some of the opportunities are as follows:

Submit their suggestions to suggestions@bginis.gov.bb.

Suggestion boxes will be placed at post offices in every parish. This will begin at some post offices starting Monday, August 15.

Three town hall meetings will be held in the central (St. Michael), east and north of the island. The dates are to be announced.

A special suggestion box will be set up at the Frank Walcott Building for staff of the NIS to share their suggestions.

Stakeholder groups, namely the private sector, trade unions, faith-based organisations, political parties, former ministers, former chairs and directors of the NIS Board, independent senators, and BARP, who have been given an opportunity to share their views orally, can now submit written submissions.
